Kelowna council denies licence for Bernard Avenue short-term rental property.

Pleas by a Bernard Avenue property owner to obtain a short-term rental licence fell on deaf ears Monday afternoon.

In a unanimous vote, city council upheld a business licensing department decision to deny a business licence for the seven-unit property owned by Samantha and Dennis Axel Hildebrand.

New shopping plaza proposed for Lake Country.

A shopping plaza anchored by a new grocery store is being proposed in Lake Country on the side of Highway 97.

The “Berry Road Market” is proposed for 3130 Berry Road, the former site of Winfield Elementary School, according to a development permit application going before council next week.
