A clutter-free garage can make summer weekends run a whole lot smoother 🚲🌿

By late July, gardening tools, bikes, sports equipment, camping supplies and lake gear can quickly pile up. A simple mid-summer reset can make everything easier to find, create more usable space and help prevent clutter from carrying into fall.

Start by pulling out anything that no longer belongs in the garage. Then:
• Sort similar items into categories, such as gardening, sports, tools and outdoor gear
• Store frequently used items where they are easy to see and reach
• Use wall space for bikes, rakes, shovels and other bulky equipment
• Label bins so everyone knows where things belong
• Donate or discard anything broken, outgrown or no longer used

Creating dedicated zones now means less time searching for equipment and more time enjoying the rest of summer. It can also make the garage feel cleaner, safer and much more functional.

When buying a home, there are different types of insurance designed to protect you in different ways. 🛡️

Title insurance protects against issues from the past—things that may have happened before you owned the property, such as unknown heirs making a claim, forged documents, or unpaid taxes. It’s typically a one-time fee paid at closing and remains in effect as long as you (or your heirs) own the home.

Homeowners insurance protects against the future—unexpected events that happen after you move in, like fire, theft, weather damage, or liability if someone is injured on your property. It’s usually a recurring cost and is required by most lenders to protect the home itself.

Understanding the difference between these two types of coverage can help you make informed decisions and protect one of your biggest investments. 🏠📋

Buying a home is exciting — and a little preparation can make the journey much smoother. 🏡

Before you start house hunting, keep these mortgage tips in mind:
✔️ Protect your credit before closing
Avoid major financial changes or new credit accounts that could impact your approval.
✔️ Know the difference between pre-approval and pre-qualification
Pre-approval gives you a clearer picture of your buying power and can strengthen your offer.
✔️ Plan for closing costs, not just your down payment
Budget for additional expenses like fees, inspections, and other costs that come with purchasing a home.
✔️ Choose a budget that fits your lifestyle
Your maximum approval amount may not be the amount that feels comfortable month-to-month.
✔️ Keep your financial documents organized
Having your paperwork ready can help keep the process moving smoothly.

The right preparation can help you feel more confident when it’s time to make your move. 🔑

There are a few spots in your home that quietly collect dust and buildup over time—often without you even noticing 🧽✨

A deeper clean doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it’s about remembering the overlooked areas that make your home feel fresher, healthier, and more cared for.
A few commonly forgotten spots worth adding to your cleaning routine:

• Baseboards: Dust and scuffs can build up along the edges of every room and make spaces feel less polished
• Ceiling fans: Regularly cleaning fan blades helps keep dust from circulating
• Behind the fridge: An easy-to-miss area where dust, crumbs, and buildup can collect
• Window tracks: Small spaces that trap dirt, debris, and moisture over time
• Dryer vent: Regular maintenance helps keep your dryer running efficiently and safely
• Top of kitchen cabinets: A forgotten surface where grease and dust can quietly accumulate

Small details make a big difference when it comes to keeping your home feeling fresh and inviting ✨
