Planning a kitchen reno and wondering where the money actually goes? 🔨

Most contractors won't give you a straight number. We will.

Cabinets alone take about 29% of a typical kitchen budget, nearly double the next biggest material cost. But the chart only tells part of the story. A few things that catch people off guard:

💡 Appliances are about 14% of the budget and usually NOT in your contractor's quote
💡 Moving your sink or a wall is what turns a $45K kitchen into a $70K one
💡 Every budget needs a 10 to 15% cushion for what turns up when the walls come off

We broke down all 10 items, plus three questions that explain most of the difference between any two quotes, on the blog 👇

Which line item surprised you most? Tell us in the comments.

☀️ Never underestimate the power of natural light.

Three strategically placed skylights completely transformed this space.

Instead of a dark room hidden behind a tarp-covered sunroom, this homeowner now has a bright extension of their home that feels open, warm, and inviting.

Natural light can completely change the way a space looks and feels.

Benefits of adding skylights:

☀️ More natural light
💡 Reduced need for artificial lighting
🏡 Makes rooms feel larger
🌿 Creates a stronger connection to the outdoors
✨ Adds value to your home

Small changes can make a huge impact.

🔨 Great renovations start with solid planning and craftsmanship.

This project was much more than a cosmetic update.

Our team carefully removed the existing structure, rebuilt the space, raised the walls, and constructed a new roof system designed to maximize both durability and natural light.

Seeing a finished project is exciting, but seeing the process behind it reminds us that quality work happens long before the final reveal.

We love helping homeowners reimagine what's possible.
