โจ How To Paint A Buffalo Plaid Accent Wall ๐จ
What youโll need:
โข Three paint colour shades (a light, medium, and dark)
โข High quality painters tape
โข Laser level tool
โข White wall background to start with
โข Patience & Time!
Step 1)
Measure and tape out horizontal lines using a laser level. We chose a width of 10 inches. The smaller the squares, the busier the pattern will look. You will have to alternate the tape on either sides of the lines to make even stripes. Paint every other stripe the lightest shade, let dry, and remove tape. *Expect to coat each stripe with 2 coats before removing the tape.
Step 2)
Measure and tape the vertical lines. Find the middle of the wall, and work outwards from the center. Paint every other line the medium shade. Let dry and remove tape.
Step 3)
Where the horizontal and vertical lines overlap, tape each overlapping square. This square will be painted with the darkest shade. Let dry and remove. Admire your work! โจ
๐กTip: to make the colours easier to select, pick your colour and stay within the shades on the chip to ensure continuity.
Colours we used: BM pink pansy (medium shade), BM pink pansy diluted 50% white (lightest shade), BM begonia (darkest shade)
Super happy with the result! Shout out to my hubby & mom for taking on the task with absolutely 0 help from my pregnant self ๐ (other than taking the tape off- that I did do!) ๐จ
