Osoyoos Fire Rescue is aware and monitoring the activity of the Sinlahekin Fire which is located approximately 12 miles west of Tonasket, WA.

We are in contact with representatives from both BC Wildfire and the Incident Management Team working to contain this wildfire. Currently there is no risk to the Town of Osoyoos.

This evening and into tomorrow, the Town of Osoyoos is expected to experience worsening air quality as winds will shift the smoke from this fire to the northeast.
