Revive The Land

Revive The Land We Will offer workshops to gain gardening and preserving knowledge, as well as use low cost practices to better sustain our spaces!

Dedicated to returning the community and the land to the harmonious natural working state of our ancestors to improve mental health and food shortages amongst all income levels. Revive The Land is a community project dedicated to connecting land owners to resources, tenants, and management in order to commit to land share incentives like Co op Gardens, where people who don't have the space or yard

to grow their food can share land in exchange for assistance on other tenant plots, to maintain enough home grown food to sustain everyone involved! Our hope is that every household become involved in a Co op or community garden in order to maintain a healthy diet as well as sustain their good budget with ease.

It's almost that time again!
Victory Gardens were first introduced following World War l when head of National War Garden Commisions, Charles Lathrop Pack, referenced then "War Gardens" with a much more upbeat and welcoming name!
During the second World War, Victory Gardens had not only become a necessary and popular way to sustain families and communities alike, they also became widely promoted in media like you see here!

We have come a LONG way in regards to agriculture since the first and second WWs, from discovering the benefits of organic permaculture and biodiversity in our grow spaces, to creating new and revolutionary ways to grow all our food even in tiny spaces!

If you're interested in taking the first few steps to sustainable living or are interested in starting a Victory Garden send me a message, the journey is long but worth every second.

Were a little behind on tech over here with recent power outages resulting form rare wind storms that are actually known to hit thOttawa Valley once in awhile, the last I remember being circa 2014!

I'm glad our family was able to find refuge In calabogie camping for the first weekend (thank you The Dusty Crew for clearing the trails)
We needed to complete some planting so decided to return to civilization and introduce our friends at 613 Plant-Based and Beckwith Storage to "hugelculture". Another sustainable practice adopted from friends and partners over the coarse of building projects with the community!

Hickory Lane Alpacas has been practicing this German technique going into their second year using their first mound, which proved bounteous last season right through until frost, with very little watering!

Its so exciting learning and sharing these skills and working together to build communities all over Ontario capable of sustaining vital necessities!
Keep checking back! We can't wait to show you what to do with all your fresh produce to make it last all winter!!
