Only a few more nights until we Glow Forward together and support five shelters in one unforgettable evening! ✨ https://event.auctria.com/709ce0da-6115-45d9-aaea-cef883d614fc/

✨ Fashion. Community. Purpose. ✨

We are so excited to come together for GLOW FORWARD — a special evening where fashion meets purpose in support of women in our city.

What makes this event especially meaningful is seeing five sister shelters standing together: Cornerstone Housing for Women Harmony House Shelter, Interval House of Ottawa - Maison Interval d'Ottawa, Nelson House of Ottawa-Carleton and Chrysalis House Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre. Each organization plays an important role in supporting women and families across Ottawa, and together we are part of a network of safety, hope and opportunity.

A very special thank you to Skin Phi, the organizer and driving force behind GLOW FORWARD, for creating an evening that brings together fashion, community and philanthropy in such a beautiful way. 💛 Their vision, energy and support have helped bring this meaningful event to life.

We’re also thrilled to have Derick Fage and Ms.Beltempo as our emcees for the evening, helping bring the runway, stories and purpose of GLOW FORWARD to life.

The fashion show will feature local favourites Fashion United Shop Vincent, Manhattan West Ottawa and Shepherd's Fashions, alongside the many businesses, sponsors, donors and community members who have stepped forward to support this event.

This is what community looks like — sister shelters, local businesses, fashion leaders and neighbours coming together because the safety and well-being of women in our city matters.

💜 One Less Barrier

As October brings attention to domestic violence awareness and cyber security, our One Less Barrier campaign highlights the importance of safe access to technology.

When an abuser monitors a woman’s phone, tracks her location or controls her access to devices, reaching out for help and planning to leave can become more difficult and dangerous. These barriers can contribute to the many attempts a woman may need to leave safely.

Tech safety strategies can help enhance survivors’ wellbeing, protect their personal privacy and connect them with support—removing one more barrier as women and children rebuild their lives. 💜🩵

Today, October 4, we mark Sisters in Spirit Day and honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people.

We acknowledge the grief carried by families, loved ones and communities, and remember the lives, stories and connections behind every name.

Remembering lives. Honouring loved ones. Holding families in our hearts. ❤️

Today at noon on tv Rogers Ottawa, join Harmony House Shelter on An Hour to Give!

Tom MacKay of Dentistry On Catherine Street and Jason Ralph of Royal LePage Team Realty Ottawa Real Estate Brokerage share why they support women and children fleeing violence. As men, fathers of daughters and business leaders, their commitment sends a powerful message: ending violence against women takes all of us.

DOCS Dentistry is in the business of creating smiles. For more than two decades, their generosity has helped bring hope, stability and brighter smiles to families at Harmony House. We’re grateful to welcome them back for their third year as presenting sponsor of our 2027 Hope & Promise Breakfast! 👏🏼👏🏼

Jason, Royal LePage Team Realty and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation have stood alongside Harmony House for years, including through Giving Tuesday. Their support continues with the third annual Night Light Walk on October 22, turning community spirit into vital funds for women and children.✨✨ https://buff.ly/7nHEMyC

Joining them are Julie McLaughlin, Manager of Branding and Events at Royal LePage Team Realty, alongside Harmony House’s Donna, Case Worker; Marilyn Matheson, Executive Director; and Francesca Davila, Director of Development and Communications, sharing how these partnerships help provide safe housing, restore hope and make new beginnings possible. 💜🩵

Thank you to Sam Laprade and Rogers TV for helping us share our message!

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, residential school Survivors, and their families and communities .🧡

At Harmony House, we believe every woman and child deserves safety, dignity and opportunities to thrive. Breaking cycles of abuse means supporting healing and working toward a future where violence does not shape the next generation’s story.

Today, and beyond, we commit to listening to Indigenous voices, learning, and supporting Indigenous-led paths toward healing and a future free from violence.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

One Less Barrier: Someone who stays connected. 💜

Isolation can be a warning sign of abuse. A woman may gradually lose touch with friends and family, leaving her with fewer people to turn to when she needs support.

If you’re concerned about someone, a gentle check-in can matter. Reach out in a way that is safe for her. Listen without judgment. Ask, “What would help right now?” And keep the door open, even if she isn’t ready to share.

For a mother and her teen, having trusted people around them can make the journey toward safety feel less lonely. Her teen needs care and support too.

What helped? What would have helped? What could have made the journey to safety easier?

Double your impact this weekend, STARTING TODAY! 💛💛

From September 25 to 27, Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health will match donations made through in-store round-ups and online giving, up to $150,000.

Through Giving Shelter, your donation helps Harmony House Shelter support women and children rebuilding their lives after violence. That support can mean food for a family settling into a new home, counselling for a woman healing from trauma, or after-school programs where children can learn, play and feel supported. During the matching weekend, your gift can go twice as far toward this work.

Thank you to Shoppers Foundation for Women's Health, our participating Shoppers Drug Mart stores and Associate Owners for standing with women and children throughout this campaign. We’re grateful to every customer who has rounded up at the checkout or made a donation.

Round up in-store this weekend or donate online: https://www.shoppersfoundation.ca/en/givingshelter

If we count 5 women in our communities, more than 2 of them will experience some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

Behind this statistic are women in our communities — our neighbours, colleagues, friends and family members.

Through the Giving Shelter campaign, we are grateful to see our community come together to support women and children seeking safety and a new beginning. 💜🚪🏡🩵

A heartfelt thank you to Shoppers Drug Mart Associate Owners and store teams for bringing this campaign to life and supporting women and children in our community. 🙌🏼

From September 12 to October 9, you can support local shelters by rounding up your purchase at Shoppers Drug Mart. Every contribution helps strengthen the services and supports women and children need.

Thank you for standing with women and children in our community. ❤️

We are so grateful to Royal LePage Team Realty Ottawa Real Estate Brokerage and Royal LePage Performance Realty Brokerage for once again bringing our community together through the Night Light Walk. 💜

On October 22, we’ll walk alongside Maison d’Amitié and Nelson House to shine a light on gender-based violence and stand with women and children rebuilding their lives after violence.

Every step, every team, every donation and every shared message helps raise awareness and reminds survivors that their community stands with them.

We are excited to see what our community can accomplish together this year.

Thank you to everyone already getting involved. We hope to see you at Lansdowne Park! 💜✨

🌙✨ Let’s light the way together.

The Night Light Walk is back — and it’s time to start getting involved.

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Royal LePage Team Realty and Royal LePage Performance Realty are coming together with our community to support Maison d’Amitié, Nelson House and Harmony House — three incredible local shelters helping women and children affected by violence and housing insecurity.

This 3K walk under the stars is more than a walk. It’s a way to raise awareness, show solidarity and remind survivors that they are not alone. 💜

Last year, our community raised more than $32,000. This year, we’re aiming even higher.
