What do you think buyers remember most after walking through a home? πŸ€”

The kitchen? The square footage? The finishes?

Surprisingly, it's usually none of those things.

Most buyers remember how a home made them feel. A bright entryway, a cozy reading nook, a clutter-free space, or simply being able to picture themselves living there can leave a lasting impression long after a showing ends.

If you're thinking about selling, understanding what buyers actually notice (and remember) can make a big difference in how your home is perceived.

We've put together a blog exploring the psychology behind buyer impressions and some simple ways to help your home stand out for all the right reasons.

What's one thing you've remembered most after viewing a home?

If you were buying an investment property today, what would be your top priority? πŸ‘‡

🏑 Cash flow?
πŸ“ˆ Long-term appreciation?
πŸ”¨ Low maintenance?
πŸ“ Location?
🏒 Multi-unit potential?

The truth is, the "perfect" investment property looks different for everyone. But the strongest investments often have a few things in common: they're in desirable communities, close to amenities, have solid rental potential, and make financial sense on paper.

Real estate investing isn't always about finding the hottest property. It's about finding the right opportunity.

What's the first thing you look for in an investment property?

Have questions about the construction of Grand River Street North (between Silver Street and Watt’s Pond Road) and Bendemere Road in Paris?

Stop by our upcoming Public Information Open House to learn more, speak with project teams, and view project details. There will not be a formal presentation, so feel free to drop in anytime during the event.

πŸ“… Public Information Open House
Date: Thursday, June 18, 2026
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Location: Paris Fairgrounds, Paris Ag Hall, Special Event Building (139 Silver St, Paris)

The Grand River Street North Improvements project is a multi-year infrastructure initiative focused on improving underground services, road safety, traffic flow, and long-term mobility in the area. Planned improvements include roundabouts, storm sewers, road reconstruction, and enhanced walking and cycling infrastructure.

πŸ”οΈ Why is this happening now?
The County secured more than $9 million in provincial funding to help deliver the Grand River Street North project, reducing costs for local taxpayers. With funding deadlines in place, the work must move forward now to ensure the community receives the full benefit of this investment.

The Bendemere Road project will also be discussed during the open house, with project team members available to answer questions and provide information about planned work and timelines.

There's something special about seeing Paris from above. ☁️🌞

For those of us lucky enough to live here, what keeps you in Paris?

Is it the river? The small-town charm? The local shops and restaurants? The sense of community?

We'd love to hear your favourite thing about living in Paris.

And if someone you know is thinking about making a move to Paris, Brantford, or anywhere in Brant County, we'd be happy to answer their questions and help them discover what makes this area so special.

Working on a blog about life along the Grand River got me thinking...

One of my favourite things about our listing at 12 Spencer Street in Paris is that you're just steps from the river and Bean Park. Whether it's an evening walk, watching wildlife along the water, paddling on a summer afternoon, or simply enjoying the peaceful scenery, living near the Grand River has a way of becoming part of your everyday life.

From Paris to Brantford and the many communities connected by the Grand River, so many people choose to live here because of what the river adds to their lifestyle.

So I'm curious...

🌊 If someone asked you what your favourite part of living near the Grand River is, what would you say?

Is it the trails?
🚢 The walks along the water?
πŸ›Ά Kayaking and canoeing?
🐦 The wildlife?
πŸŒ… The views?
