I haven’t posted a Fun Fact Friday in awhile, but in honour of Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival happening tomorrow — right in my backyard of Midland, Ontario — I thought I’d share a few fun facts about this yummy event!

🎉 The festival started in 2013 and has grown into Canada’s largest butter tart festival!
👣 Each year, 60,000–65,000 visitors flood into our town — that’s more than triple Midlands population!
🛍️ With over 200 vendors on-site, around 75 of them sell butter tarts, featuring everything from classic raisin to wild combos like maple bacon, s’mores, and cheesecake!
🥧 In 2024, over 300,000 butter tarts were sold in just one day!
🏃‍♀️ And let’s not forget the Butter Tart Trot — where runners earn their tarts at the finish line!

Whether you're in it for the sweets, the run, or just the amazing atmosphere, this festival is a true Ontario gem. 💛

Hi everyone! 👋

I’ve been a little quiet on socials lately, but it’s for a great reason — I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to level up my skills and bring even more value to my clients as a co-host and vacation rental stager/designer.

I'm thrilled to share that I just completed my first course: Vacation Rental Design Expert!
I’ve learned so much, and I can’t wait to apply all this new knowledge to transform spaces and create unforgettable guest experiences.

Fun Fact Friday – Balm Beach Edition! 🐚

Did you know? Balm Beach is the only beach along Tiny's 70 km shoreline with a commercial strip — meaning you can soak up the sun and grab a drink, a bite to eat or hit the arcade, all without leaving the waterfront! 🎮🍦🍔

And speaking of local gems — the iconic Georgian Grill has been serving Balm Beach visitors since 1934! Originally a diner and dance hall, it’s now a go-to summer spot for burgers, fries, and good times. Generations have made memories here — and the tradition continues!

Bonus fun fact? 👉 Today marks Georgian Grill's official opening day for the summer! You’ll find me on the beach later, burger in hand and cold bevvie in the other. 🍔🍻

Fun Fact Friday - Tiny Edition! 🌊

Despite the name, Tiny Township is not in fact tiny and is home to over 70 km of stunning freshwater shoreline along Georgian Bay — making it one of the longest stretches of sandy beach in the province! 🏖️

That’s right — all that sparkling water? It’s freshwater, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or just floating your cares away.

And don’t even get us started on the sunsets… 🌅 Let’s just say golden hour hits different around here.
