Dean proudly sponsored and operated the beverage station at the Krista Johnson Memorial Run, helping keep participants refreshed and energized. As a Silver Sponsor of this annual 5K event, Dean always enjoys seeing so many familiar faces come together year after year in support of a great cause.

๐Ÿ“Š RENFREW COUNTY REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE โ€“ MAY 2026 ๐Ÿก

The Renfrew County real estate market remained active throughout May, with more inventory becoming available for buyers while home prices continued to hold steady.

A total of 210 homes sold in May, which is a slight decrease of 3.7% compared to May 2025 when 218 homes changed hands. While sales activity softened slightly, buyer demand remains strong across many areas of the county.

One of the biggest stories this month is inventory. 400 new listings came to market in May, an increase of 14.6% year-over-year, and total active listings climbed to 659 properties, up 24.3% from last May. This means buyers have significantly more options than they did a year ago, creating a more balanced marketplace.

Despite the increase in available homes, prices have remained remarkably stable. The average sale price reached $492,922, up a modest 0.35% from May 2025. This suggests that while buyers have more choice and negotiating power, property values across Renfrew County continue to show resilience.

Homes are taking a little longer to sell, with the average days on market increasing to 41.3 days, compared to 33.3 days last year. Sellers can still achieve strong results, but proper pricing and presentation are becoming increasingly important as buyers have more inventory to choose from.

โœ… Sellers can still benefit from stable pricing, but strategic pricing is key.
โœ… The market is moving toward a healthier balance between buyers and sellers.
