To our valued clients,

AB Appraisals will remain open for business during the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We are taking all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our appraisers and homeowners.

We are navigating through a rapidly changing public health situation and want to continue to provide our services for clients still requiring appraisals. We are currently only providing full appraisals without interior inspections, to protect our appraisers and our clients. We also offer drive-by and desktop appraisals.

We will not be entering any homes during this time.

Arlene Blake-Brown has witnessed the tremendous changes and shifts that have occurred the real estate market over the last 25 years. After attending Mohawk College in Hamilton, she worked for local Financial Institutions for 10 years. While raising her children in Grimsby, she enhanced her education by earning a Bachelor's Degree from Brock University in St. Catharines. She then continued her education in the real estate profession and in 1997 received her Canadian Residential Appraiser Designation(CRA) with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Over the last 2 decades Arlene, along with her husband Alan Brown, have owned and operated AB Appraisal Services Inc, a local real estate appraisal company that specializes in real estate values. Arlene has expanded her expertise to include completing Commercial Property Condition Reports and appraising Machinery & Equipment. She excels in knowledge about residential values, locations, pricing, etc. She is a volunteer as a Professional Competency Interviewer for the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the President of the Board of Directors for a local Corporation. When not working(which is rare), Arlene enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and relaxing at the cottage.
