I got a call from the site supervisor from the 4plex I was part of the framing crew on. He was looking for help with laying out the sleepers on the deck. Said I am the only one he trusted from that crew enough to come back., It was nice to see the progression on this since I last finished up with the backframing.

Stairs built with concrete blocks reclaimed from their parking pad. It makes for a great feature to this heritage home renovation.
This was very challenging, and very hard on the back. Hand mixed and poured 1 course per day, after setting and bracing the concrete blocks in position.
Ambitious design by the architect for this project.

I've been tasked with building the planter, stairs and decks on this old heritage home in Vancouver.
They will be finished with reclaimed yellow cedar, which is an absolute pleasure to work with. The rear stairs will be finished with reclaimed concrete blocks saved from the old driveway. Neat project.

The current jobsite I am working on is a huge renovation to the Chinese Canadian Museum right in the heart of Vancouver's Chinatown.
