There's no right or wrong decision regarding whether siblings should share a room.

As they get older, you understand the importance of each of them having their own personal space.

You want each to have their own privacy.

For that reason, you’ve given up that extra room that once used to be your office space.

You’re working off of the kitchen table.

You tell yourself - "No ones' gonna know!" You've got that fancy Zoom background after all.

Never before did you think your home lacked the space you wished you had.

Family and friends also have no place to stay when visiting.

You feel like the walls are caving in.

You catch yourself holding it back to avoid fights and bickering about your messy environment.

To top it off you are at your wit’s end with sharing a bathroom with the kids.

Yet, you thought you’d be building memories for a few more years to come.

The reality is you need an extra bedroom and washroom as well as a safe play area for the kids to enjoy worry-free.

Most importantly - you’d like a bathroom that is yours! One that’s not littered with bath toys but essential oils and candles.

If you’re ready for more space then reach out and let's talk about how my NestPlanner Method can help you achieve just that in 5 easy steps.

🏡 looks like a dog’s breakfast?

You panic and cringe as you survey the scene upon entering your home.

Every room of the house is decorated with plastic toys and craft stockpiles.

Toys are against walls with overflowing shelves.

Collections of half-naked dolls, Legos and Thomas the Train are in every available square inch.

You think back to your childhood and remember - “I didn’t have this many toys..” and how you spent a lot more time playing outside with neighbourhood friends.

Sounds familiar?

Storage units in every corner and closet organizers are your jam.

You’ve tried to organize and find a home for each toy and for that dilemma you also turned to countless decorative bins.

Yet, there’s always more! More toys, more clothes, and definitely more shoes. But not enough space to put it!

Every night it’s a game with you and your spouse, who will step on a small leftover lego piece 😂

You try to filter through and get rid of what you can…but there’s a lot of stuff that you and the family still need and use.

You just need more space. You need a home that can accommodate ALL of your stuff!

My NestPlanner Method was designed to help families like yours that are looking for more space. Check out the link in below for my free guide.

You envision a backyard haven where you can unwind and sip back your favourite Chardonnay.

A side entrance to your backyard to allow your creativity to flow with DIY projects.

Your rooftop or the patch of grass out back is no longer cutting it.

You’re finding it tougher to sit and watch your little ones play at the park while they create their own course.

As a result, you are taking them out less frequently.

Instead, you’re begging them to stay cooped up and play indoors with one of their many toys.

As the kids get older, you long for a safe place where they can unleash that bit of extra energy.

A place where they can learn to love nature and the outdoors. .

On a clear summer night, lounge around and look up at the sky to admire the stars.

A playground set also means your kids can get all the exercise they get at the park. (HINT 😉)

And on those chilly summer nights, roast some s'mores around the fire pit.

Maybe you’re handy and help them build a tree house or supervise a few engineers in the making as they build an igloo over the winter months.

That backyard is a place to help enhance their mental well-being. Develop their sense of self. Help them feel soothed by the outdoors.

A place rich with opportunities for exploration and fun.

If you’re ready to find your own outdoor oasis, reach out and let’s chat about how my NestPlanner Method can help you!

Why I truly believe in “you are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with.”

Back in my university days, I met PC at a mutual friend’s New Year’s party.

We became good friends. Someone I always had a great time with!

We hung out often. Spent weekends cottaging together with other friends. Just living life!

Fast forward a few years - PC followed in his father’s footsteps.
During summer breaks, he worked in the Captive Finance world (Automotive Finance).

One evening, we got together for coffee and he asked if I’d join him on a ride to Richmond Hill.

I asked why and he explained that his bailiff was on standby to repossess a car a client stopped paying for.

Sounded like a hell of an adventure! “Are you kidding me? Of course, I’m down!” I said.

On the ride back, I confided in him that with graduation nearing, I was on the hunt to find a full-time job.

He casually responded, "I'll ask my dad if he’s hiring".

My response - “Thanks bud!” and left it at that.

The next thing I knew, I was interviewing for a Remarketing Analyst position.

I had no clue WTH a Remarketing Analyst was nor what the job entailed.
One thing is for sure - I was determined to put my head down and succeed at it!

Little did I know then - that relationship is what set me on a decade-long career path.

I then learned about how his father went from humble beginnings to the President of the company.

Safe to say I wanted him as a mentor!

A man who was as forgiving to me for my many screw-ups as my father was. He had the patience of an angel and I learned some of the most valuable skills in business from him at a young age.

The skills I learned from him - and many of the other mentors I also met thanks to him - are what set me up for a successful career in real estate over the last 8 years.

Your relationships will always be proportional to the quality of your life!

For me - the opportunities I was presented with since that 1st job taught me that “you get your first job on your ability and every job after that on your dependability."- Mike Royer

Want to know what really infuriates me?

Imagine this - you get a service rendered or buy a product and the vendor refuses to stand behind it..

These are the shops, people, and companies that we remember, like, recommend and will buy from again and again.

I dealt with a similar situation early on in my career where I made a mistake.

On an MLS listing that a client purchased, it stated an A/C unit existed as part of the sale.

A few days after closing - my client phones me to say the A/C is missing and they want to know what can be done about it.

I went back and checked the paperwork, listing photos and the video walk-through only to realize there was never an A/C unit at this property.

I screwed up.

For obvious reasons, there was no point in putting on the iron fist and trying to fight this one.

Instead, I helped them get a few quotes for a new unit and I coughed up the FULL cost for a brand-new A/C.

It was my mistake for not double and triple checking but I’ll never miss this one again.

That is standing behind what you do by creating a memorable experience!

Kids say the darndest things! And it went something like this:

JJ: Daddy, can I please have this candy?

ME: No JJ, it’s almost dinner time.

2 minutes later - the same question. And it doesn’t end there.

Enough was enough! So, I asked him ..

ME (with a little firm voice): JJ - daddy said not about 10 times!

He looks up at me with his big brown curious eyes and says..

JJ: Daddy, you once told me to keep asking for what I want until I get it!

Safe to say - he got that candy. And a big bear hug.

This boy does not fail to amaze me!

I vaguely remember telling him on one of our Saturday morning drives - … never give up. Keep asking for what you want. Keep working hard for what you want. Until you get it!

And boy was he listening all right!

As Benjamin Franklin once said - “energy and persistence conquers all things” and this kid knows how to conquer.

It was an adult’s only resort where my wife wanted to enjoy some R&R.

To tell you the truth, it was a little too low-key for my liking. Aside from being near a Port where we got to see some cool cruise ships sail by, there wasn't much going on.

First on the excursion list - a day trip that started with a sport yacht ride to St-Barts Island. There we would embark on a guided island tour of the best beaches in our own Jeep rental. I was SOLD!

But it still didn’t fulfill that itch.. I wanted something exhilarating!

…I wanted action and adventure!

Few days later, I ventured off for a walk in hopes of finding a rental shack further down on the beach. When there’s a will, there’s a way!

We spent the first 10 minutes getting the hang of it while my wife pretended to enjoy it - but she had ZERO interest!

She said "babe, you go, have fun...I've got my book and that lounge chair is calling my name"

DONE!!! And off I went jumping waves and venturing off to explore some cool reefs nearby. Ok - I’m guilty .. I did venture off a little further than I was told to - only to come back grinning like a little kid.

Later that evening at dinner, I wouldn't stop talking about it.

It was now “a thing” and I caved and went back to rent it over and over again!

These days, we’ve purchased a Sea-Doo that suits our needs and let me tell ya, the whole family loves going out for a spin!

Some of our best summertime memories were had on the water!

To date - we’ve done some cool trips like camping on the shores of the water and riding around 1000 Islands and Georgian Bay. Somehow we’ve also found the time to explore and get acquainted with many other nearby lakes and beaches.

Sunday Float Days with family and friends who enjoy unplugging and connecting with the outdoors as much as we do are now our summertime Jam.

Whether the kids are being dragged on a towable tube for a little bumpy ride or building sand castles on a nearby beach, it’s sure to be a good time!

Hii! My name is Pierre … and I’m glad you are here!

It’s been a while and we've got some new followers here so a re-introduction seems fitting at this moment.

Life is busy…BUT oh so lovely!

I’ve got JJ who’s now 7 and Mia in her terrible 2’s.

My wife Sandy - our backbone and jack of all trades who runs a well-oiled machine (our house).

8 FACTS you may not know about me when I’m not knee-deep into my craft servicing clients:

•Breakfast and coffee in the morning are non-negotiable. Especially breakfast (or I get Hangry)!

•Flowing traffic @ 110kms/hr in the left lane, my gears start to grind!

•Country roads + a good podcast/audiobook feeds my heart and soul. I call it story time with my little man.

•I have an identical twin brother (somewhat attached at the hip .. not literally, but sometimes it may seem like it) and a younger sister.

•My twin has a way of bringing out the inner kid in me. July/August - Sunday Float Day are almost a guilt trip when I can’t.

•I’ll spark conversations with strangers just to watch the shy look on my wife’s face. She’s a real introvert!

•I used to suffer from severe Alopecia (part of the reason I sometimes rock a beard..A self-reminder to stress less about the small things in life).

•I’ll rarely decline a glass of Whiskey. Always neat and never on the rocks!

It was May 23, 2016 .. 40 days before the arrival of my firstborn who I had ALMOST never met.

The weather network called for clear skies perfect for a morning motorcycle ride.

The Bolt, the Stryker and the Warrior all turned on.

My twin brother (Peter) and brother-in-law (Joe) were as excited as I was for a scenic ride to Muskoka Falls.

We put on our gear. Went over our hand signals, staggered formation, who rides where/when, etc. Off we went into the morning breeze.

A sharp right on Morrow Dr. off of Hwy 118.

Then came my NEAR-DEATH experience.

I notice a sedan coming right at us dragging its back end into our lane! WTH is this guy doing?!

I immediately go into fight or flight mode! I gesture to Peter who’s behind me to slow down as I survey my surroundings.

A river on my right, an upcoming driveway on my left and a mangled car fast approaching.

My thoughts??

I repeatedly shouted out loud to myself - “I WILL see the day my son is born!” OVER and OVER as I looked at the asphalt moving underneath.

Then…BOOOMMMMMM!

The driver of the car side-swipes Joe.

With nowhere to go .. the sedan takes out my back wheel as the front end of my bike collides with Joe’s.

I go flying in the air right before my brother comes smashing into both of our bikes.

Adrenaline kicks in as both Peter and I get up confused.

Only to find Joe pinned down under both bikes. Each weighing close to 1000lbs!

We move the bikes off of him only to find him unconscious. After a few slaps, he opens his eyes even more confused than us. “What’s the day of the week, Joe?” Nothing.

Meanwhile, the driver tries to make a run for it. Officers immediately showed up swarming out of their cars yelling: “Jonathan!!! Turn the car off and step out of the vehicle NOW!”

The driver ends up being a known felon to the cops with a long rap sheet.

Next thing I know we are in the back of an ambulance being transported to the Muskoka Hospital.

Thanks to first responders and a very caring police officer .. we walked away that night with minor injuries and a new perspective on life.

Here’s what this LAST ride taught me: you can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.
