Installing the roof is one of the most important milestones on any construction project. It is on the critical path. Once the roof is complete, the building can be made watertight and interior work can move ahead.

Winter weather can make roofing more challenging, so projects that have roofing scheduled during colder months often benefit from additional planning, such as temporary tarp/tenting systems, to help keep work progressing smoothly.

For our projects, when the roofing schedule falls during the winter months, we work with the owner and consultants to review suitable alternate roofing products that can be installed in higher-moisture conditions. This helps the team continue progressing toward making the building watertight while keeping the project schedule and budget on track.
