Had a good, in-person meeting with Council and reps from the NIPDB last week. The federal government has abandoned its plans to build its own film and TV studio and given us the green light to proceed with the studio project we've been working on for the past four years. Today my partners and I submited our 223 page e-document application to the Municipality of Swakopmund. It has long been my dream to build a world-class motion picture studio in Namibia (likely my family’s ancestral home), so my partners and I are hopeful that, after 2+ years of emails, presentations, environmental impact assessments, geo surveys, and meetings, the Municipality will approve Desert Dunes Film Studios, our $370m project.
