Is this the lowest level of USA home sales? USA January pending home sales fell to lowest level in 24 years.

GDP expected to pull back as the US government is to shed spending, reduce their employees…normally the consumer and government are what drive growth in GDP.

As a result expected spending slowdown in the USA should cause housing prices to
Drop here. This is ok news if you are planning to move into a more expensive home as the price differential could drop from current levels.

Supporting lower home prices are the increased amounts of inventory of homes available for sale.

Seems like a scary time to move? There have be sales made this year on condition of buyer selling their current home.

Many will say if you wait for the perfect moment you may wait forever.

Quick update on home purchasing projections for this year. Toronto area unit home sales to +12% this year. The forecast price increase for a property is less than 1%. Increased available homes for sale make for a more attractive negotiating market for buyers.

Here is an idea on Return on Investment for reno's prior to selling. Not sure how you calculate it.
In a nut shell they are saying - 3/4 things that you can do prior to sale that return your full reno investment back 100% or more have to do with: Curb appeal - new front door, garage door, adding some cement board or stone veneer.

As you know if you go big on the reno prior to a sale, you may end up at the timeline mercy of materials being shipped or a busy contractors schedule. Keep it simple if you want to move.

The top home projects promising the greatest returns in resale value are not the ones you would expect.

Real estate forecast for Canada and your province in 2020. It is tough to forecast but the peak sales unit level was in the Spring of 2021. The expectation for Canada is that 2022 sees unit sales -12.1% versus 2021. Ontario is expected to be down 15%+.

Prices is what we really care about, Nationally, the 2022 average is expected up 5.6% and in Ontario +9%+.
