For being absent I’d like to explain.
Life’s lemons 🍋 makes lemonade and stronger people. Today marks a big milestone in a crazy journey that started off just after my 50th birthday this year and slowed down 2024 for me and my loved ones.
On 7th March I was diagnosed with breast cancer, 29th May I had a double mastectomy, 23rd September I started a 5 year drug and today I sit here having my last tissue enhancement appointment.
I’m sharing this with you all firstly to thank publicly everyone who has been there by my side during this journey. Your love and support has been incredible. To all my friends, family and partner I love and appreciate you all.
Secondly, to ask all women to have their regular checkups and if you don’t know how to check yourself, please learn to. To any man that finds a lump or something doesn’t seem right, please don’t ignore.
Thirdly to acknowledge the amazing care I have been getting from the team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. In particular Dr Snell, Dr Look-Hong (and her assistant Adam) Dr Warner and Dr Lenkov, I will always be grateful. Dr Snell hasn’t seen the last of me yet but she has a break for a few months while I prepare for my next operation.
It’s been challenging and it’s not over yet BUT i’m happy to say that I’m healing/recovering well. Thank you to everyone who has been there along the way. I’m looking forward to brighter days ahead! To those who have reached out to me for work I appreciate your patience. 2025 will be brighter and as soon as I can handle the workload I will be sure to let you all know. Until then, live life, enjoy your friends and family and here’s to a great 2025!
