You get hired by a fantastic realtor, arrive excited to transform the home, and then... the homeowner treats every design decision like a courtroom trial.
"Why is that pillow there?"
"Can we put our treadmill back in the living room?"
"I don't like beige."
"I moved everything back after you left."
Dear homeowners: if you've hired a professional stager, trust the process. We don't randomly place furniture, artwork, and accessories for entertainment. Every piece has a purpose—to help buyers fall in love with your home.
Respect goes a long way. A little kindness and collaboration can make the entire experience enjoyable for everyone involved.
Life is too short to be disrespectful to people who are working hard to help you achieve the best possible sale.
Remember: Buyers are judging the house. Please don't make your stager question their life choices in the process.
