B.C. Home Sales Stay Resilient Amid Lower Mainland Shift
July brought a noticeable cooling to B.C.’s real estate market, with home sales across the province down 6.7% year over year—totaling 6,561 units. The average price slipped 1.3% to $929,619, bringing the total sales volume to $6.1 billion, a 7.9% decrease. Most of this decline was concentrated in the Lower Mainland, a region I know well after decades of helping clients buy and sell homes from Kits Point through North Vancouver to White Rock and Whistler. While the numbers are shifting, every market change brings new opportunities and nuances—especially for those who truly know the neighbourhoods. My business has always thrived on the trust of past clients, and understanding these local shifts is just one way I continue to earn that trust.
