🏡 **Persistence Pays Off
So, this house was definitely going to sell—no doubt about it! But after three weeks of slower then expected traffic and only a few showings, another local agent scheduled a showing. When they arrived, the lockbox decided to have a meltdown (Sentri Lock). I was in a meeting, so I rushed over right after, armed with nothing but my trusty phone.
I fiddled with the lockbox for about twenty minutes, feeling like I was trying to crack a safe. Finally, it opened! I called the agent back, and we agreed to leave it open for their return with the permission of the seller of course. But plot twist: they had an emergency and couldn’t come back! My clients, bless their hearts, when returning closed the lockbox as they were not able to make it back. All the moving parts to a showing leaving house, taking dogs with you and all that for nobody to get in. Bummed out for the sellers, I called agent back pleading with them to reschedule as it is such a great house and such good value.
Fast forward to the next morning, I went back in, ensuring the lockbox was in tip-top shape. The agents came back, got inside, and guess what? They loved it and bought the house!
Moral of the story? When life gives you a stubborn lockbox, just keep calm and persist! And maybe invest in a less temperamental one! 😂🔑
