π‘ A finished basement adds usable square footage without adding to your footprint. In a country where winter means months indoors, that space is worth getting right.
It takes more than paint and a sectional, though. Low ceilings, limited natural light, moisture risk and mechanical systems all need a plan. Solve drainage before the drywall goes up, keep lighting recessed, layer in lamps and light finishes, and build around the mechanicals rather than burying them. π οΈ
