The gardens at Hikers Hideaway & the new chalets are looking lush! 🏡 ✨
Plus, thanks to a good rain, Laguna Tranquila is almost full. 🌧️🌊

We even had a surprise guest today—a 15-inch South American snapping turtle! 🐢 Nature is thriving here & our guests are loving it!

Woke up to the parrots chatting away with each other at ! 😍 Here is how they "talk" to each other:
Wild Communication: In their natural habitat, they use loud screeches, cackles, and calls to communicate with their flock, maintain pair bonds, and navigate through the forest canopy.
Social Interaction: They often vocalize more freely with other birds than they do for humans. When kept together, they will "chat" back and forth, often greeting each other loudly after being separated.
“Talking" and Mimicry: If raised in the same household, two parrots will often learn the same words and phrases from their owners and use them to communicate with each other.
Meaningful Sounds: They do not just make random noise; they use specific vocalizations to express emotions (alarm, pleasure) or to get attention. 🇨🇷

Enjoying exploring the gardens on an absolutely gorgeous day at Pura Vidaville! Everything is growing beautifully, many species of birds are chirping, per direct breeze and the garden is full of butterflies - it’s impossible not to decompress and take nature in! It’s also hard to believe none of this was here one year ago! 🤯😍 For our guests to enjoy, we have peppers, cilantro, pineapple, raspberries, sugar cane, tomatoes and naranjillo, with much more to come, including several herbs, bananas and plantains! The gardens feature shampoo ginger, hibiscus, hydrangeas, sunflowers, bamboo and several colourful tropical flowers🍍🌶️🍌🌺🌷🌾🌴🌻🌸 🏡
