Think dinosaurs are ancient?

Sharks first appeared around 400–450 million years ago Meanwhile, the earliest trees didn’t evolve until about 350 million years ago.

Meaning? Sharks had already been ruling the seas for tens of millions of years before Earth even had forests. 😭

And somehow it gets crazier:
✨ Sharks are older than Saturn’s rings
✨ Older than the Atlantic Ocean
✨ Older than dinosaurs by over 200 million years
