Today we planted 100 trees. And behind every one of them, there is a family.

At Terraquea Beach Properties, we believe that helping someone find their home is just the beginning of the story.

Because a home doesn't exist in a vacuum — it exists on a planet, within a community, within an ecosystem that deserves to be protected.

That's why, some time ago, we made a decision: to plant one tree for every new home we help families make their own. A concrete, measurable promise — one with a name and roots.

Today, Thursday May 14th, our team headed out into the field alongside our partner FUNDECOR and planted 100 more trees — trees that will capture carbon, protect aquifers, shelter biodiversity, and strengthen entire communities.

And the number that fills us with the most pride: we have now planted 650 trees over the past year. We surpassed our initial goal of 500 trees per year — and we are just getting started.

We live in Costa Rica, a country that leads the world in conservation, forest restoration, and forest recovery policies. That is no small thing — it is a responsibility we feel deeply.

On this day in 1856, Juan Santamaría — a young drummer boy from Alajuela — gave his life to defend his country during the Battle of Rivas, turning the tide of history for Costa Rica.
