Nanku is a residential village in Nosara, Costa Rica, where children grow up outdoors, in nature and inside a real community. No screens needed when you have a river, a waterfall, pottery workshops with the Chorotega tribe and a village of people who actually show up for each other.

We welcome families, couples and individuals ready to live intentionally. Waldorf, Montessori and homeschooling families feel right at home here.

They do not track their macros, count their steps or optimize their sleep with apps. They do not take ice baths or drink protein shakes or follow the latest longevity protocol.

This is what we are cultivating at Nanku. A life close to nature, close to the land and close to the people around you.

Costa Rica has two seasons, and families love them both.

Dry season runs from December to April. Blue skies, golden hills, long beach days and warm evenings around the fire.

Green season runs from May to November. The rain comes, the river fills, the waterfall wakes up and everything turns a deep, wild green. Mornings are often sunny. Afternoons slow down.

Children here grow up with both. Dusty bare feet in February. Mud puddles in September.

Live music, dancing and the kind of night that reminds you why living close to people matters. This is just one of the many events we organize at Nanku. Potlucks, dinners, cultural gatherings, music and so much more.

Nanku is not what most people expect.

A residential village in Nosara, Costa Rica, where families from around the world and from right here in Costa Rica are building their lives together.

Nearby you will find Waldorf and Montessori schools, a strong homeschooling community, organic food, yoga, surf and every wellness activity you can think of. The beach is 10 minutes away and the town of Nosara has everything a conscious family needs.

We have a free Community Learning Center for local children, a deep ongoing relationship with the Chorotega people and regular pottery workshops that keep their ancestral traditions alive.

Right on the property there is a natural waterfall and swimming pool where the kids spend every afternoon.

The neighbor who brings food when you are overwhelmed. The parent who watches your kids without being asked. The friend who sits with you at the fire on a Wednesday night because they live two minutes away.
