A dream-like encounter! We are absolutely speechless and humbled to share that just moments ago, right here in the lush gardens of Ave Oro Villas, we spotted a mother puma with her two adorable cubs. 🐾🐾🐾
This extraordinary sighting—seeing a thriving puma family—is the ultimate proof that our corner of the Costa Rican rainforest is alive, vibrant, and truly wild. It’s a reminder of why we cherish and protect this beautiful ecosystem.
Living so close to nature brings unbelievable rewards. We are so lucky to call this place home. Please remember, these are powerful, wild animals. Safety for both us and them is everything.
A friendly reminder to all our guests and community members in puma territory:
1️⃣ Never approach wild animals. Admire from a safe distance (the further the better, especially with cubs!).
2️⃣ Keep pets indoors, especially at dawn, dusk, and night. These are prime hunting times. Always supervise them outside. We not allowed pets for this and other reasons.
3️⃣ Secure all trash and food. Make sure your property doesn’t have “attractants” that lure prey animals (like raccoons or deer).
4️⃣ Make noise if you are out after dark. Avoid surprise encounters. Pumas are generally reclusive and will avoid you.
5️⃣ Supervise children closely.
Let’s respect their space so they can continue to thrive. This moment is pure gold. 🙏
