For most of the people of this world, a house is the biggest investment they ever make. Yet, the time and research they devote in doing it is much less than that in buying a coffee maker. A house is not just 4 walls you sleep between and it most certainly should not be built in a factory somewhere and delivered to you. A house is built primarily on site conditions and most definitely on building standards which protect you from not only weather and rain but also from extreme physical elements and expensive cost in upkeep and maintenance. Just because there is a lack of proper building code in a country doesn't mean that we should be making such high investments on the inadequate and inappropriate building processes of people who have never held a hammer in their lives. And just because someone has been doing something for 20 years doesn't mean he knows how, when he has learned his trade wrong from the beginning and is not willing to learn and fix his ways.
