The Circus Hotel is a boutique hotel in Berlin-Mitte, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century landmark-protected building overlooking Rosenthaler Platz. The Design Hotel is located close to all the main attractions of the Berlin Mitte and in a lively neighbourhood of bars, restaurants, art galleries and independent shops. Join us for our weekly curated programme of events and activities, relax in our garden courtyard or take in the spectacular views from our roof terrace. This is the best hotel in Berlin. Katrin and her team can't wait to meet you.

Today is a strange day. The last check-outs are done. No more check-ins are expected for The Circus Hotel at Rosenthaler Str. 1 any longer. Hotel is officially closed.

It is hard for us to believe this is the reality yet. After 18 years we had to make a tough decision to take a step back, as it became clear to us that running a hotel of this size at the quality and price point we have always aimed for is no longer viable.

Although this chapter has finished, The Circus story continues: The Circus Hostel & Apartments will remain open and we will continue welcoming visitors from all over the world, while we are actively searching for a new home for The Circus Hotel.

We’re looking forward to the future and will share with you more about our plans very soon.

If you want to read more about the closing - head to our blog article. (link in bio)

Staying at The Circus might not change your life…
but it might be the start of a great story, or maybe even a new friendship ✨

You never know who you’ll meet at a hostel, but one thing’s for sure: you won’t have to look far to find someone to share a story with. So if you’re travelling solo or backpacking for the first time, there’s no need to worry about making friends. That’s really what hostels are best for 🙌🏻

At The Circus, we make sure there are plenty of opportunities to meet fellow travellers. And no, not just in the dorms and common spaces, but over a drink at our bar & microbrewery Rosie‘s in the basement, at the karaoke night or at one of our tours with the Berlin Social Club 🙌🏻

The ultimate Circus Hostel experience? Arriving alone and leaving with a few new besties 👯

Book your stay directly with us for the best rates and access to our special offers. And for every direct booking, we’ll plant a tree in your name 🌱

Already next week Giant Kite Festival is coming back to Berlin 🪁

Once every year the sky of Berlin fills up with giant octopuses, Pokémon, aliens and dragons and if you are in Berlin - you shall not miss this! Believe us, no matter how old you are, you’ll feel like a child - mesmerized by giant flying cosmonauts and lizards.

No need to hesitate: it’s a free Events and it’s easy to get there from The Circus: just take U8 to Boddinstrasse and walk towards Tempelhofer Feld. And once you’re done with observing all types of flying objects you can head out and roam around Neukölln - one of the most hip areas of Berlin with tons of shops, restaurants and bars to visit. ✨

Pro tip: rent a bike at The Circus, so you can fully enjoy the former Tempelhof airport landing field that is now turned into a park

📆Saturday 12.09.
