As Anika Samoa said yesterday, the zebra crossings have been added to the cycle lanes here in Mojacar, but the ones on the road are somewhat faded. But we love seeing the progress being made on a day-to-day basis.

Joyce Vernon made us laugh in a previous post, where we asked the names for the "slugs" in the road - and she suggested Everton Mints.

Oh, and by the way, we're a co-working space. What does that mean - well you or your guests can come to work. Bring your laptop, connect (if you want) to a big monitor, strong WiFi and you can sit in air conditioned comfort with views of the sea (and for those of you in Turre - with water).

We have packages whether you want to spend a couple of hours with us as a one off, or if you want to rent a desk for a month.

Big things are happening outside DeskSpace! 🚴

The cycle lane is getting its finishing touches — the white lines went down on Friday, and today the crew are installing the raised markers along the edge. (Apparently they have a proper technical name. Road studs? Raised pavement markers? We're going with "bumpy bits".)

Either way, it's looking great — and it means even smoother, safer cycling right past our front door. And did we mention that there is an eBike point at Platino Gym (and we're in that block). ☀️

We have a friend in town. A Saturday trip to Vera market. A stop at Cerveceria Taperia LAS CAÑAS. The place was buzzing - but we managed to capture a moment of calm. It’s our daughter’s favourite 🫶 place for meatballs.

Camera entrusted to daughter (not included are the selfie panoramic shots - of her hands and legs 🙄- which turn into some sort of grotesque study of the human body 🤳🤣).

We don’t work weekends but back DeskSpace - Coworking Mojacar on Monday. School holidays here in Spain start on Tuesday. Welcome to summer!

"Last night's FoundHER Circle was full of brilliant energy (and a few biscuits)! I described the Disney's Creative Strategy — learning how to switch headspaces between Dreamer, Planner, and Critic depending on what the task needs. I also told the "Pylon and Bear" story - one of my favourites for going along with seemingly "crazy" ideas - because you never know when a great idea will "pop out". Yup - teaser - you'll have to ask if you want more 🤣

Meeting a friend who's arriving from the UK

**Top tip** if you're picking someone up from the airport (or meeting them anywhere, really): get them to share their live location with you on WhatsApp (or you can share it with them).

One of our friends landed in Almería earlier and hopped on the Exclusive Airport Shuttles 🚐 bus. Instead of us all standing around in the sun guessing when she'd arrive, we asked her to share her *live location* — so we could track her journey in real time and time our welcome perfectly ☀️

This was a feature she'd never used before ... so if it's new to you too, here's how to do it:

➕ Tap the + next to the message box

📍 You'll see 8 options — tap "Location"

🔴 Select "Share Live Location"

⏱️ Choose how long you want to share for (you can stop it anytime)

Small tech trick, big difference when you're coordinating a meet-up!
