Sun is great. Until you have too much of it ☀️☀️☀️

When viewing a property in southern Spain, pay attention to more than whether the terrace is sunny. Which direction does it face? When does it get direct sun? Is there shade in summer? And what about winter?

The terrace that feels perfect during a morning viewing in September can feel very different at 4 PM in July. Don’t just ask if it gets sun... ask when!

Found a property for €300,000? Don’t make €300,000 your budget.

Buying in Spain comes (also) with costs on top of the purchase price, including taxes and costs related to the legal and notarial process. And those taxes aren't even the same for every purchase. New homes and resale properties are treated differently.

It’s 20:02 in Torrenueva Costa. The sun is setting, people are still on the beach and nobody seems to be in much of a hurry. Coffee takes a little longer. Dinner starts a little later. And somehow, there’s always time for one more conversation.

It takes some time getting used to, but we managed and so did many others. This is local life on the Costa Tropical ❤️
