The ethos of the company is all about customer service and we like to think we make house buying and selling as worry free as possible for all our clients, both buyers and sellers. We're a highly professional team but we also enjoy what we do and like nothing better than getting to know you over a cup of coffee in the sunshine. We know how daunting it can be to buy a new home in a foreign country, especially if it's your first experience of buying abroad and you're trying to manage it all from your home base. We've been there, we've done it and we have survived! We try never to forget what it felt like and will do our best to give you all the information you need about buying your home and about living in this area. Good communication is the key to reducing the stress for you. We make sure you are kept up-to-date on progress and always respond promptly to your phone calls and e-mails. Our comprehensive after sales service is something we pride ourselves on; after all, our clients become our neighbours once the sale is made. It's nothing out of the ordinary for us to deal with calls about where to shop for light fittings, how to change a gas bottle or where to find a reliable plumber – sometimes weeks or months after the client has bought the property. When you come to Competa, don't wander around the village trying to find us – we don't have an office but work entirely from the internet. Experience tells us that most people who want to buy a house abroad usually begin their research on the internet. They identify the areas they are interested in and then check out the properties available in that area. At this stage we can start to help you via e-mail or by phone. We can talk to you about your requirements and your budget and then point you to the properties that might interest you. Our property descriptions are comprehensive and include useful details like the size of all rooms, something most other agents don't provide. We also include lots of photographs because we think these are vital in helping you get a real idea of what a house is like. Having done the basic research you're ready to visit the area knowing that we'll only take you to see properties that meet your criteria – we know your time out here is often limited and you need to make the most of it (and leave time for a second or even third look at the one you fell in love with). Having said that, you are, of course, entitled to change your mind so you don't have to narrow down your options too much or too soon.
