As you know, Sunday mornings are usually pancakes, coffee, and whatever chaos the kids bring with them.
But Iâve been thinking a lot lately about what happens when you get comfortable, when life becomes routine and when you stop trying things âjust becauseâ... well, you havenât done them before.
I turn 40 this year... and instead of pretending that doesnât feel significant, Iâve decided to lean into it.
So between now and July, Iâm trying something Iâve never done before... every single week.
Some of itâs small; going to the cinema on my own (harder than it sounds), learning to crochet (juryâs still out), trying steak for the first time since 1994 (verdict: not for me, but at least I know now).
And some of itâs bigger; starting reformer Pilates, going ice skating as an adult (very different from doing it as a kid).
Itâs not about being adventurous or reinventing myself. Itâs about stepping outside of my comfort zone and not letting âIâve never done thatâ become a reason not to try.
Moving to Spain was the biggest version of that mindset. We didnât know how it would go, we just knew we didnât want to look back and wonder.
And honestly? That same energy, the willingness to try something unfamiliar, even when it feels uncomfortable, is what makes the difference for a lot of our clients too.
The ones who reach out early, ask the âsillyâ questions, who visit multiple times before they decide, who rent first to test it. Theyâre willing to step outside whatâs familiar.
So hereâs to trying new things... Even when theyâre small, or when youâre terrible at them đ
Whatâs something youâve tried recently that felt outside your comfort zone? Iâd genuinely love to know! đ
