My Little Mökki Rent your cabin in Finland on the shores of Lake Kylmäluoma It will be our great pleasure to welcome you to our peaceful forest haven.

Hello dear visitor,

We are a small French family – Maxime, Marie, our daughter Lou, and our five huskies – who settled many years ago on the edge of Finnish Lapland. We live near the Hossa-Kylmäluoma National Park, a wild and unspoiled area in the heart of the taiga, far from mass tourism. After several years of renovation, we brought My Little Mökki to life – a peaceful little cabin by the lake, nestled deep in the forest. Marie works as a sled dog and nature guide, while Maxime is a paleoecologist, specializing in mammals of the Arctic regions. We love welcoming people, learning from others, and above all, sharing our passion for the incredible Finnish wilderness.

Beautiful winter landscapes around the cabin !
I have to say that this is probably the coldest winter we've had in terms of average temperatures in the seven years we've lived in Finland!
There have been many many days in a row with temperatures below -25°C and wind chill factors approaching -40°C....
But cold weather means beautiful clear skies, incredible sunsets, no clouds and therefore beautiful auroras, and trees hidden under their thick blanket of snow!
Warmer temperatures are returning, so I'm sharing these few moments frozen in time with you 🩵🐺🫶🏼
