Paris is full of charming apartments, but not all rentals are created equal. Some look dreamy in photos but feel cramped in person. Others promise a “quiet stay” only for you to discover a lively café right below your window. Before booking, always check:

✔️ The exact location—being “near the Marais” isn’t the same as being in the Marais.
✔️ Noise levels—look for reviews mentioning quiet streets or good insulation.
✔️ Stairs vs. elevator—many Paris buildings don’t have lifts, and climbing five flights daily isn’t for everyone.
✔️ Authenticity—overly staged photos? It might not look as good in real life.

✨ *Big news!* We just bought our very own apartment in the heart of Paris

Now, let’s be honest—when we first walked in, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. In fact, it was pretty *ugly.* 😅 Peeling paint, outdated fixtures, and lots of work. But there was something about it, a little spark we knew we could work with. With a bit of vision we saw the potential to turn this forgotten space into something beautiful.

So, here we are, ready to take on the challenge. We’ll be documenting every step of this wild renovation journey, all while exploring this incredible city as a family.
