We are delighted to introduce this weeks " Little Black Book" business - Duncan's of Banchory They are a family business in Banchory who have been specilising in furniture, sofas and chairs and beds since 1971. However, they also have a lovely flooring and carpet department upstairs where you can even create your own stylish stair runner !

News hot off the press they also have a bit of a sale going on starting tomorrow and the 14th June, so the perfect opportunity to pop in and have a browse ( or pick up a bargain !)

There’s just 1 week left to vote in the Female Founder Awards Scotland and, if I’m honest, I still slightly can’t believe Strawberry Grange is a finalist.

This has never been a “quick win” type of business. It’s been years of planning meetings, setbacks, revisions, problem solving, risk, persistence, and quietly continuing even when things moved painfully slowly.

Property and construction is still a fairly male-dominated world overall, especially at development level, so being recognised in this way means a great deal to me personally.

What makes it even more special is that the nominations came from other people. Supporters, business contacts, and people who’ve followed the journey from the early days of an old soft fruit farm becoming something entirely new.

A place where people can design and build homes that genuinely reflect how they want to live.

And genuinely, thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, shared posts, sent messages, or simply followed the journey so far. Building something from scratch can feel quite lonely at times, so those small moments of support matter more than people realise.

Voting closes on the 25th May, so I just wanted to share this again in case you hadn’t had a chance.
