🏡 One mistake I see people make all the time when searching for their dream country home…

They jump onto Google Maps or Street View 👀
Spot neighbouring houses…
…and instantly write the property off ❌

But here’s the thing… what you see on a screen and what you actually feel when standing at a property can be completely different.

A lot of people tell me “I want total seclusion, no neighbours anywhere.” 🌳

But complete isolation has its drawbacks too…

🚗 Car breaks down
⚡ Power cut in bad weather
🆘 You need help unexpectedly

Sometimes having neighbours close enough to help, but far enough away not to disturb your peace is actually the perfect balance 👌

Most people would look at this and think...

😍 "Wow, look at all that land."

What they don't see is:

🌱 Grass growing several inches a week
🌿 Weeds spreading everywhere
✂️ Strimming around fences and trees
🚜 Topping paddocks
🪵 Fallen branches after bad weather
🛠️ Fence repairs
🐴 Grazing management if you have animals
💰 Fuel, machinery and maintenance costs

Everyone says they want 10 acres... until they have to maintain it. 😅

With the weather we've been having lately , ☀️sunshine, 🌦️rain, sunshine, ⛅rain – everything is growing like crazy. 🌱
