Anchorians Rovers 4–9 River FC | Sunday 7th December 2025 | Watling Street
Another league win in the bag and an unbeaten run extended to six, as River FC produced a dominant away performance that left Anchorians unable to cope with the relentless attacking threat. 🔵💪
The hosts struck first, but River responded immediately with three goals — one from Leon Mitchell and a brace from Jack Goldsmith to take control of the game. Anchorians pulled another back before the break to keep themselves in the contest.

The second half turned into a goal fest, with River stepping up another gear. Both Mitchell and Goldsmith completed their hat-tricks, showcasing clinical finishing and composure in front of goal.
The scoring didn’t stop there. Tony Ellis added to the tally, while Shane Pay and Morgan Speirs both smashed home stunning long-range efforts to put the game completely out of sight.
Anchorians grabbed a couple of late consolation goals, but the damage had long been done — the Anchor had sunk, and River sailed out deserved winners.
