JML Contracts Ltd is based in Perthshire, Central Scotland and specialises in the SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) building method. With environmental issues likely to dominate all our lives for the foreseeable future, the building industry is moving to adapt new technologies which will lead to the building of a brand new type of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient housing. Insulated Panels (SIPS) are at the forefront of this radical change in building design and technology. SIPS are one of the most ecologically friendly materials on the market and with their unique insulating properties they dramatically reduce heating bills and significantly increase living spaces within the build. SIPS technology is regarded by many influential figures in UK construction as the future of the industry in the UK and sometime soon all houses will be built like this. JML Contracts Ltd is one of the only companies in Scotland with their own in-house SIP engineers, designers, installation team and SIP processing factory. We can offer a unique fully bespoke SIP design and build service for our clients.

📣 WE’RE HIRING | EXCAVATOR OPERATOR 📣

📍 Perthshire | Full-Time | Permanent

JML Contracts is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Excavator Operator / Foreman to join our team. We’re looking for someone who leads from the front - someone just as comfortable operating plant as they are helping run a job, supporting a team and keeping works moving safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong groundworks, civils or construction experience, who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and doing things properly.

The role includes:

✔ Operating excavators, dumpers, telehandlers and rollers
✔ Leading and supervising a small site team
✔ Supporting safe, high-quality delivery on site
✔ Working closely with Site & Project Managers
✔ Maintaining high standards of health & safety

What we’re looking for:

▪ Proven plant operator experience with foreman/supervisory experience
▪ CPCS / NPORS essential
▪ Strong groundworks, civils or construction knowledge
▪ Reliable, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
▪ SSSTS preferred (SMSTS and First Aid advantageous)
