Next up! Better late than never!
This one took me a while to get through, just in the way it was written. This doesn’t detract from the incredible story it’s just slightly heavy.
It describes a lifelong friendship through tough experiences of life, close shaves and survival.
Despite its heavy nature I was so glad I read it and would recommend.
‘All the colours of the dark’ by Chris Whitaker. It’s on the book shelf in the barn.. help yourself and let me know your thoughts.

Feels like summer today and we are ready for it!

Perfect day out, next time you stay at Castlebury Barn remember this day out idea.
Bridport market has such a great mix of stalls, live music playing an independent shops galore, there is something for everyone.
Westbay, the home of Broadchurch, why not have a wonder a long the beach, marvel at the incredible cliffs and have a mooch around the local shops and eateries.
End your day with the sun going down at Seatown beach. is a pub right on the beach, serving alfresco pizzas with a drink or two.

Sunsets are a regular visitor when you stay at Castlebury Barn. The garden faces south west and whether it’s from the woodfired hot tub, comfortable seating in the garden or sat in front of the woodburner it never fails to disappoint.

Well this was a first for me today. is on Branscombe Beach with a view to die for!
Now the waves today did not allow for sea swims to cool down but the outside cold showers did the trick!
There are huge health benefits to regular saunas. Sitting inside the toasty sauna looking at the waves crashing outside was wonderful.
The sauna is available all year round and a great experience next time you are staying at Castlebury Barn.
A lovely coffee at the afterwards ended a lovely morning.
