Last weekend I went to do a days chainsawing and splitting at our Nextdoor neighbours. There were some large rings of ash that were really tough to split along with a lot of smaller lengths that needed splitting too.
We made a good hole in the log pile but will return another day to finish the job.
Thanks for the work Barb and Ben. We will be back soon!
If you need your wood split into logs for burning don’t hesitate to get in touch!

I am writing this post with great reluctance. But with the rising price of fuel , equipment and spare parts, also training courses and insurance, we are going to have to put our prices up.
The price will be an extra £5 an hour / operator. (Existing quotes will still stand)
We really appreciate all our great customers and try to provide the best service possible!
Thank you for your understanding and hope to see you in the near future.
Stuart and Christine.

Loads of wood was split at a job last week in Barlaston. Some really large rings of spruce were split into smaller manageable chunks, then split into firewood.
We made a good hole in the wood to be split and will return later to finish the job.
Thanks for the business Steve.!

Last week, we went to a very local job. Actually down the end of our track , at the plant centre!
Our neighbours had some trees taken down and we offered to chip the brash for them. They were very grateful and they can now use the chip as mulch around their borders!

Back to Salt Heath near Stafford for the 3rd time on Monday, this was to continue with a large chainsawing and splitting job .
This time we tackled 2 large piles of cord wood and produced 2 impressive piles of split logs.
The owner was very impressed once again and thanks for the business.
We will return when it suits!

Yesterday we went to a splitting job just outside Stone. This involved dragging out to very large tree trunks with the winch on the truck( videos to follow) , cutting up with chainsaw and then splitting them .
There was also a large pile ringed up wood that needed splitting. This was very twisted and was very hard to split.
Nevertheless we split a good chunk of it and will return in August to finish the job.
It was also a very hot day so we invested in a pop up gazebo which provided some well needed shade. This meant we could carry on when the temperatures were in the high twenties.
Thanks for the business Debbie and see you soon.
