The excavation team are coming to the completion of the archaeological excavation of a unique neolithic flint extraction site. Our digital record team have been working hard to make sure the site has a complete accurate record of the site as a whole and each of the deep flint extraction pits. We've already got a really nice 3D model available to view online

3D model of ongoing archaeological excavation of a flint extraction pit dating back to the neolithic period. Pit narrows to a lower shaft which remains un-excavted. A small narrow shaft links to another adjacent pit which has recentlly been exposed

Survey team was back out assisting the archaeology team to record a unique prehistoric site currently being excavated. The team have uncovered a large flint extraction pit which is already nearly 3m deep. The laser scan survey will allow us to safely and accurately record the pit at each stage of its excavation

Great evening at the UHAS Heritage Angel awards yesterday made even more special when we were presented with the heritage award for 'Best Research or Interpretation of a Historic Building or Place', researching the archaeology and history of 10 High St Carrickfergus. It was amazing to be nominated together with all the other brilliant projects and proud of all our team and those who supported us.

Fun project working with National Museums NI and Ian Clark Restorations, digitally capturing unique Irish Maritime Heritage. The Galway Ho**er 'Fancy' is one of the earliest examples of these iconic boats and was commissioned in the late 1800's. The pilot boat 'Childrens Hope' from Kilkeel Harbour was skippered by D-Day Veteran Archie Teggarty. The 3D data will be used to generate 2D/3D restoration plans/models, and as a digital archive.
