The team at Gurr’s Construction Group completed an Emergency First Aid at Work & AED course, covering adults, children, and infants.
A huge thank you to Resource Rail for delivering such an interactive, informative, and hands-on session. The practical training gave us the confidence and knowledge to act quickly if faced with a medical emergency. Jamie was a brilliant trainer who really took the time to ensure we had taken the knowledge on board and left feeling comfortable and confident about first aid treatment!
One thing that really stood out was learning more about AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators). Many people don’t realise just how accessible and easy they are to use. Modern AEDs provide clear, step-by-step voice instructions and will only deliver a shock if it’s needed—meaning they’re designed to be safely used by members of the public, not just medical professionals.
Did you know? When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chance of survival by around 10%. Using an AED as soon as possible, alongside effective CPR, can dramatically increase the chances of survival before the emergency services arrive.
