Creating greener homes at Rother DC Housing Company!

As part of our commitment to sustainability and biodiversity, we’re installing swift bricks on some of our homes. Swifts are amazing birds that have traditionally nested in small gaps in older buildings, but modern construction means these spaces are disappearing. By providing swift bricks, alongside bird nesting boxes, we’re helping to protect local wildlife in a simple and effective way.

Our homes are also designed with the environment in mind. They’re well insulated to stay warm in winter and cool in summer, and many are fitted with air source heat pumps – a low carbon, energy efficient way to heat homes and provide hot water.
Together, these features help create homes that are comfortable, environmentally responsible, and supportive of the natural world around us.
