If you've got the motorhome sorted but no idea where to go, here's four that work from our base in Warwickshire.

• The Cotswolds is an hour and a half, proper English countryside.
• Lake District is about three hours, worth every minute.
• Pembrokeshire is stunning if you want a beach without the flight.

• Pack light because there's storage but it's not a warehouse.
• Bring your own bedding and towels, it makes it feel like home.
• Plan your stops but don't overplan, half the fun is pulling over somewhere random.
• Download offline maps in case signal drops.
• And fill up on fuel before you head into the countryside because petrol stations get scarce.
