🐾 Meet Gus - the sweetest canine companion and one of our latest customers in .

Gus’s owner contacted us with a very important brief: to create a dedicated washing facility fit for her prize pooch, while also delivering a stylish and practical new utility room in her beautiful home.

The existing layout consisted of an underutilised storage area and a separate downstairs WC. By removing the dividing wall and combining the two rooms, we created one large, beautifully finished dog spa and utility room, complete with an integral WC.

The transformation included:

• Removing the dividing wall to open up the entire space
• Re-plastering and decorating the new room
• Levelling the existing WC floor to match the adjoining area
• Seamlessly extending the Karndean LVT flooring throughout
• Installing bespoke utility units with space for the laundry appliances
• Fitting a large Belfast sink - Gus’ favourite feature and where he now enjoys his spa treatments
• Installing a stylish mixer tap with a separate, high-flow dog-washing sprayer
• Top-of-the-range 30mm quartz worktop with matching upstands
• A wall-hung WC with concealed cistern
• A bespoke matching quartz cistern top
• Oak slatted feature panelling to WC
• Solid oak shelves with concealed LED lighting

Previously, the layout wasted valuable space and offered limited usability. Combining the two rooms has created a far more practical, spacious and attractive area - perfect for laundry, storage and keeping Alderley’s finest-looking dog in pristine condition!

Gus has already completed his final inspection, although his expression suggests he may not have fully appreciated being the first to test the new facilities… 😂🐶

DAY ONE — AND WE’RE BREAKING GROUND!

The land to the side of this characterful 1930s family home is about to become part of something seriously impressive…

We’re delivering a substantial two-storey wraparound extension that will completely transform both the size and layout of this family home.

The finished project will feature:

-A huge open-plan family kitchen and entertaining space
-A statement kitchen island at the heart of the room
-Large glazed doors opening directly onto the garden
-A separate utility room and downstairs WC
-A brand-new fourth bedroom upstairs
-A stylish new en-suite
-A full external transformation designed to blend seamlessly with the original house

We’ve flattened the existing concrete panel garage and today, it’s rubble, dust and the first dig. Soon, it’ll be a spectacular new living space built for modern family life.

This is going to be a big one / and we’ll be showing the full journey from breaking ground to final handover.

👀Sneak peek - this one is going to be something quite special…..

We fit so many kitchens and again, we don’t post every one, but this one is simply too impressive not to share.

We’re currently finishing this stunning new kitchen, and even before the worktops, flooring and final decoration go in, you can already see just how spectacular the finished room is going to be.

The sheer size and design of this kitchen, combined with the quality of the units and fittings, really sets it apart. From the huge bank of full-height cabinetry and integrated appliances to the extensive run of units, curved detailing and large central island, this is going to be a fantastic space.

Still to come:

-Worktops templated and installed
-New flooring throughout
-Final finishing and detailing
-Full decoration
-Those all-important finishing touches that bring everything together

And the kitchen itself is really only part of the story…

We’ve carried out a much wider programme of work for these lovely customers, which we’ll share properly once everything is finished, but they include removing external walls, ceilings down and floors up. Not that you can tell now. 😉💪

And that’s a wrap folks - another exterior transformation complete 👍💪🏻

Another job finished and another happy customer! 👌

Here’s the before and after of a driveway and landscaping project we’ve just completed.

On this one we:

-Nearly doubled the size of the driveway to create much more parking space.

-Installed granite sett edging to give it a clean, quality finish.

-Rebuilt the random stone flower bed wall and finished it with new 2” thick York stone copings.

-Completely rebuilt the front canopy using a combination of American Oak, Idigbo and timber treated with the latest technology, built to last for years to come, along with new downlighting.

-Finished it all off with new landscaping to bring everything together.

-We even installed a 7kW EV charger.

It’s great to see the difference these changes make, not just to the look of the property but also how practical it is for the homeowner.

We received so many compliments from local residents on the quality of the job - thanks for stopping by.

Not the easiest of jobs to do, with the property being on a single track road with access restrictions and having to get plant and machinery to it - but we did it 💪

Thanks to all the neighbours for their patience and accommodating us, our vehicles and machinery, whilst the works took place.

When this customer asked us to rebuild their existing dilapidated canopy, they didn’t send us a sketch or architectural drawing - they sent us a ChatGPT-generated image of exactly what they wanted to achieve.

ChatGPT is a fantastic way to communicate your vision - something we are seeing more and more of as customers look for inspiration. We’re proud to say we’ve brought this one to life to almost 100% of the AI-generated specification.

This stunning 9-metre-wide handcrafted canopy has been built entirely from the ground up using only premium-quality materials, ensuring it not only looks exceptional but will stand the test of time.

Project highlights:
-Hand-built 9-metre-wide canopy
-Natural slate roof with detailed lead work
-West African Idigbo hardwood fascia boards, chosen for their durability and beautiful natural finish
-Solid American White Oak handmade gallows brackets, individually crafted to provide strength and timeless character
-Latest ThermoBoard cladding technology, offering exceptional resistance to wet rot, insects and temperature extremes for many years to come
-Black rainwater goods to complete the traditional yet contemporary look

💡 Bespoke lighting designed around the customer’s needs

Every detail was tailored to the customer’s requirements. A single row of antique brass recessed downlights was installed beneath the canopy, with the two outermost lights controlled by a dusk sensor. These automatically illuminate every evening, providing a subtle ambient glow throughout the night. The remaining downlights are connected to a motion sensor, activating only when movement is detected to flood the full width of the driveway with light exactly when it’s needed. A practical, energy-efficient solution that combines security with elegant evening lighting, and looks real classy at night time 👌

It’s incredibly rewarding to take a customer’s vision - even one created using AI - and turn it into a real-life feature built to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

We recently completed an extensive interior upgrade on this newly built home at , Lyme Green, Macclesfield.

Originally purchased as a stock property from , the house was finished to a very basic specification throughout – plain white walls, standard flooring, and a developer-grade kitchen. Home Office/Garden Room Transformation Complete💪

We’ve recently finished installing this beautiful new set of patio doors for a lovely couple in Macclesfield who were an absolute pleasure to work for from start to finish.

The transformation this has made to their home/garden office room is incredible. What was once an enclosed outbuilding is now a bright, light and airy external working area - creating one large flowing space between the office and the garden/decking outside.

We fit lots of doors (amongst other things!) and not all installations make it onto to our page because they’re pretty run-of-the-mill. This project has because it was far more technically involved than simply replacing an existing set of doors. The brief was to create an entirely new opening in a wall where its internal construction couldn’t be seen or determined from either the inside or the outside.

To achieve the best possible result, we had to:
🔨 Carry out careful non-invasive investigation work to understand the wall’s construction and maximum potential aperture size.
📏 Order the doors to the absolute maximum size possible whilst guaranteeing they would fit perfectly on installation day.
🏗 Strengthen the wall plate to properly spread the roof load over the new jambs.
🪵 Carefully cut and reinstate the detailed external timber cladding.
🧱 Plan and build the external timber reveals so the finished installation looked completely original to the building.

The end result is exactly what we aimed for - doors that look as though they’ve always been part of the building original construction.

The frame profile and colour match the existing windows and doors 100%, and the whole space now feels brighter, larger and fully connected to the garden and nature.
