Wonderful to see the Hope Centre supporting the Partington Community again! Great to meet Sam who came to collect a really special donation of useful kitchenware from the Community Shed. Such a joy to be at the Hope Centre and see people taking away all the free kitchen items. Weekly budgets are so stretched that buying kitchen ware is sometimes virtually impossible.

Hello everyone, so hoping you’ve had a wonderfully peaceful and happy Easter in spite of the challenging weather!

Presently the Community Shed is closed both for the Easter Holidays and a fantastic enormous donation which will require some sorting in our weeny shed!
We are so very grateful as will the recipients be too 💖

Just a little reminder for the dear people who support the Community Shed and for whom tomorrow will be a challenge.
We send you our love and prayers💜💜

Mothering Sunday can be one of the most tender, painful days of the year if your mum or your child has died.

The cards, the flowers, the smiling faces on social media, what feels like simple joy for others can land like a punch to the heart.

Everywhere you turn, there are reminders of what’s missing. Of who is missing.

If this day is hard for you, please be gentle with yourself.

You don’t need to power through or pretend.
You don’t need to ‘white-knuckle’ your way to Monday.

Grief doesn’t vanish when ignored but neither does love.

Your love for them and theirs for you, hasn’t gone anywhere.

It lives on: today and every day. So take the day gently. Switch off the noise if you need to: social media, group chats, even plans that feel too much.

Make space for what soothes you. Walk somewhere quiet. Sit with a friend who gets it. Curl up with a blanket and a book. Or do absolutely nothing. That’s allowed too.

Mark your love in a way that feels right for you:

👒 Wear something of theirs.

🥘 Cook their favourite meal.

🕯️ Light a candle.

💌 Write them a card.

♥️ Speak their name.

A small ritual can be a bridge, between now and then, between you and them.

However you choose to spend the day, let it be with your love for them, even in their absence, and kindness. You deserve that.
Your grief is real because your love is real.

And that love, however deep the ache, never dies. ♥️

Massive thanks to everyone who responded to the special requests for Duvets. 💜They have been delivered to the Health Visitors Hub at the George Carnell Centre where they were very gratefully received.

We were also very blessed to have support from Dunelm who helped enormously with this ‘special request’ we are so grateful to the company for their amazing help.💜💜

Sadly due to space issues we can only accept Duvets for special requests, really, really sorry
My love and thanks for your continued support
