Changes to Fire alarm response by South Wales Fire & Rescue Servce begins

“📅 As of today (6th January 2025) the way we respond to Automatic Fire Alarms (AFAs) is changing.

🚨 We will no longer be attending Automatic Fire Alarms in most non-residential buildings, such as office blocks or industrial estates during daytime and night-time hours, unless a call is received from a person reporting a fire”

Padlock security Explained

CEN grades each padlock from 1 to 6. These range from low security applications such as lockers and toolboxes to high security applications such as locking of freight containers and high value goods. CEN Grade 6 padlocks are very rare and as such most companies would recommend a grade of 3 to 5 for high security applications.
