I hope you head a wonderful Christmas.

It's time to close the year and get ready for 2026.

Link to my blog post in the comment.

Please tell me if you have any rituals to close the year or what was your big thing you managed to finish/close in preparation for the new year/beginning.

You don’t need to push harder to make Christmas work.
Sometimes the most supportive thing you can declutter is the idea that rest has to wait.

Today close a loop

Examples:
• reply to one message you’ve been avoiding
• put away one category (all coats, all shoes, all mugs)
• finish the last 10% of something already started
• decide not to do something — and let it go

It’s Friday.
The last weekend before Christmas.

School is over — for some, the house is suddenly full.
For others, work is at its busiest.
The season has been building for weeks, even months, and now it’s all here.

It can feel exciting, worrying, lovely and heavy — all at once.

There are five days left until Christmas morning.
May they be peaceful, enjoyable — and as light as possible.

A lot of chaos isn’t excess — it’s displacement.

Homes don’t stay tidy. They get lived in.
Returning things is part of the rhythm.

A calm walk through your home can quietly reset the whole place.
No bins. No boxes. No decisions. (That part is optional.)

Just take things home.

Gifts can be beautiful.
They can also become quiet burdens.

This season isn’t about proving gratitude by keeping everything forever.
It’s about making space for the life you’re actually living now.

A gift has fulfilled its purpose once it’s received with gratitude.
After that, it’s allowed to move on if it starts to feel like a burden.

We talk a lot about clutter as things.
But decision fatigue is often what drains us most.

You don’t have to optimise Christmas.
You don’t have to hold the magic alone.

Today’s decluttering task isn’t throwing anything away —
it’s choosing where your energy actually belongs.

We often start decluttering by asking what needs to go.

Lately, I’ve been thinking more about choosing what to keep, rather than focusing on what to throw away.
Monday feels like a good day to start there.

Decluttering isn’t about loss.
It’s about protecting the things that support you.

Today: choose three things in your home that truly earn their place.
Use them. Enjoy them. Notice them.

If you’re ready to go a little further:
Ask yourself what you want more of in your home — space, ease, light, calm.

If you’d like help making space — physically or emotionally — you know where to find me. •

Christmas isn’t just cluttered with things.

It’s cluttered with noise.

Screens. Notifications. Background TV. News. Endless talking. Mental lists.

Today remove one source of noise for an hour.

Turn something off.
Step outside.
Sit in quiet.

If you’re ready to go further:
Try not to scroll today.
Put your phone on silent for a while
Leave the TV off.
If you can, step away from the rush — big malls, city centres, crowd

Notice what fills the space instead.
