Meet Rohan.

My stepson, 16, fresh out of school and officially starting his journey into surveying. I wish I would have started at that age!

He’s joined Point Surveys as an apprentice and will be starting his surveying apprenticeship properly in September. This week was his first taste of what life in the surveying world can actually look like.

Safe to say x3 5am wake ups absolutely wiped him out. 🀣

But in all seriousness, it’s been great having him with us and watching him get stuck in. He’s had a proper introduction to what we do, from being out on site to seeing how surveys are actually carried out and processed.
There’s a lot for a 16-year-old to take in, but he’s made a good start and hopefully by September he’ll be a little more prepared for the alarm clock!

One of the most expensive assumptions on any project is what's underground.

A great example of how different surveying disciplines can work together on the same project.

While Scott is carrying out a detailed Topographical Survey, I'm on site completing an S104 CCTV Drainage Survey. Two separate surveys, but both providing key information to help move the development forward.

By delivering multiple survey services in-house, we're able to coordinate works efficiently, reduce site visits, and provide clients with a seamless package of information. This not only saves time but helps ensure consistency across the data being collected.

Another great project delivered by the team at Point Surveys

We recently completed a detailed 3D Topographical and PAS128 Utility Survey for a development site in Wiltshire, providing the client with the accurate and reliable survey data needed to move the project forward with confidence.

A special mention goes to Scott Thomas who carried out the Topographical Survey and did an excellent job. Since joining the team, he's settled in quickly and has produced some fantastic work, and this project was no exception.

We continue to invest in both the latest Leica equipment and the right people to ensure every survey is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.
