WHAT MOTIVATES TROLLS AND OTHER MENTALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL PEOPLE
There is a peculiar species of individual who roams the internet, armed with a search engine and a terminal case of self-importance. I encountered one recently—a "self-appointed expert" who decided that my personal reflections required a clinical diagnosis. It is fascinating, really. What motivates a grown adult to spend their finite Saturday masquerading as a doctor on a stranger's wall?
These trolls aren't looking for a conversation; they are looking for a CHAIR. They want to sit in the seat of authority because, in their own lives, they likely couldn't command the attention of a household cat. By "diagnosing" others, they create a fleeting illusion of superiority. It’s a sad, digital pantomime performed by people who believe that "copying and pasting" a medical definition is the same as having a personality.
I’m 69, I live in the sun, and I’ve spent fifty years documenting the human condition. I’ve realized that this INSANE BEHAVIOR is actually quite simple: it’s the desperate cry of the inconsequential. They don’t want to help you; they want to be you. But since they lack the grit to build a life in the tropics, they settle for being a nuisance in the comments.
